How it works
Start with the recipient's birthday and birth year. Cosmic Post finds the matching APOD publication when available and explains any alternate-year match. Choose a greeting, add a name, and save a 1080 × 1350 PNG sized for digital sharing. The card includes the birthday, image title, APOD publication date, and source credit. No account or payment is needed for the download.
Cosmic Post is an independent, free web tool for birthday, anniversary and milestone cards using NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day archive. The project was previously called Luminary. It is not operated or endorsed by NASA. Dates match APOD publication dates, with clearly labeled alternatives when the exact entry is unavailable. Add a name, choose a greeting and save a 1080 × 1350 PNG without an account.
